Bio

My name is Kem Haynes. I am a fifth grade teacher at C.E. Hanna Elementary School. I am married to Ronald Haynes. We have one son, Justin. He is a graduate of Auburn University. WAR EAGLE!!  He was part of the class that stayed at C.E.Hanna for five years during the changeover of schools. I have been around CEH for many years! My heart is here at CEH!!

I have many years of teaching experience and have taught all subjects. I currently teach Science and Social Studies. I graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Before I went back to college to finish my degree, I volunteered and worked as a substitute teacher in the Oxford system. Many of the teachers that I worked with during that time encouraged me to go back to school.

When I have an opportunity, I enjoy camping with my family. We enjoy going to the mountains, especially Townsend, Tennessee. We always camp at Mountaineer Campground because it is a wonderful place to stay! Daisy, my black lab, and Jordie, my Golden Retriever, love camping and swimming!!! I also enjoy cooking and collecting cookbooks. I LOVE TO READ!! I read a lot during the summer. During the school year, I'm usually busy working on school things. I do enjoy teaching children. Everyday holds new and exciting challenges! I hope to teach for many, many more years to come!!
